About the elbow pad i don't think it's possible to remove it, i think that if i remove it there would be a hole on the model and if i retexture it there will be the shape of the elbow pad.

Made it quick to show you the problem, doing a skin texture over the elbow pad isn't hard but as you can see on the picture the elbow pad isn't directly on the arm, it kind of pops out, don't know the right word.
